Whilst its perfect for storing personal documents or for small team edits and collaborations, projects can also be shared onwards via Teams and SharePoint. Editing is simple. Partnership is effortless.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s our top ten tips for getting more from your OneDrive, whether you\u2019re a beginner or already a pro:<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you\u2019re a OneDrive beginner:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Storage:<\/strong> Don\u2019t overlook the 1TB of storage available on OneDrive. That\u2019s enough to store 500,000 photos and thousands of documents (depending on their size!)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Backup:<\/strong> Use <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/office\/back-up-your-documents-pictures-and-desktop-folders-with-onedrive-d61a7930-a6fb-4b95-b28a-6552e77c3057?ui=en-us&amp;rs=en-gb&amp;ad=gb\">PC folder backup<\/a> to automatically sync your Windows desktop, documents and pictures to OneDrive. Quick, easy, and protected, everything is then backed-up and available across all your devices or from someone else\u2019s if yours crashes (by signing in online to your OneDrive account). You can also automatically backup your <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/office\/automatically-save-photos-and-videos-with-onedrive-for-android-66605e54-48b8-4f55-bcff-34159702e344?ui=en-us&amp;rs=en-gb&amp;ad=gb\">phone\u2019s camera roll<\/a> to OneDrive, keeping all your favourite moments stored, protected, accessible and all in one place. The mobile app has a great function that you might not be familiar with called <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/office\/scan-a-whiteboard-document-business-card-or-photo-in-onedrive-for-ios-7b5425d5-754f-4201-b88f-13fc765d7d3a?ui=en-us&amp;rs=en-gb&amp;ad=gb\">scan and save<\/a>, which allows you to effortlessly capture whiteboard notes, business cards, receipts and photos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaborating: <\/strong>Using OneDrive as a cloud backup, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/office\/share-onedrive-files-and-folders-9fcc2f7d-de0c-4cec-93b0-a82024800c07?ui=en-us&amp;rs=en-gb&amp;ad=gb\">share<\/a> files and photos, and entire files if you wish. But it\u2019s all completely private until you decide to share, and you have control over who to show, when and what. You can also stop sharing at any point and withdraw permissions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deleting and moving: <\/strong>We\u2019ve all done it \u2013 accidentally thrown away a file. With OneDrive, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/office\/restore-deleted-files-or-folders-in-onedrive-949ada80-0026-4db3-a953-c99083e6a84f?ui=en-us&amp;rs=en-gb&amp;ad=gb\">track down deleted files<\/a> (available only on OneDrive for web), and if you\u2019re graduating from school and want to keep using your OneDrive, you can use the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/office\/move-your-school-files-when-you-graduate-7dbda93c-71e6-483f-8914-ad445554cd31?ui=en-us&amp;rs=en-gb&amp;ad=gb\">mover<\/a> option to transfer all your files from your school account to your personal account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If you\u2019re a OneDrive Pro:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Two-step verification: <\/strong>Add another layer of security to your OneDrive account by using <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/12408\/microsoft-account-how-to-use-two-step-verification\">two-step verification<\/a> across your entire Microsoft account.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Storage:<\/strong> There are two great storage functions on OneDrive that you might want to use. <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/office\/manage-your-onedrive-storage-and-limits-989fce19-ade6-4e2f-81fb-941eabefee28?ui=en-US&amp;rs=en-GB&amp;ad=GB\">Manage your storage<\/a> allows you to see how much storage you have left, and what\u2019s using up the most space; and <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/use-onedrive-and-storage-sense-in-windows-10-to-manage-disk-space-de5faa9a-6108-4be1-87a6-d90688d08a48\">storage sense<\/a>, that automatically frees up space on your PC by making local files that you haven\u2019t used recently online-only again.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Offline access: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/office\/read-files-or-folders-offline-in-onedrive-for-ios-60ffb5d6-ac87-4bea-b142-01f301b22e4c\">Offline access<\/a>, for your iOS phone, laptop or PC allows you to keep working on documents even if you lose internet connection or are on the go without any available data.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scan, sign and send:<\/strong> From school permission slips to invoices, with <a href=\"https:\/\/support.office.com\/article\/scan-sign-and-share-documents-c2e7850c-4ab2-4556-8586-37f718ba1a94\">scan, sign and send<\/a> (available with the OneDrive mobile app) it\u2019s possible to scan, sign and send important documents wherever you are.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Files details pane:<\/strong> If you\u2019re collaborating with others, the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/office\/change-views-on-the-onedrive-website-7465991b-6882-4f0d-9a0a-2b2a455798cc?ui=en-US&amp;rs=en-GB&amp;ad=GB\">file details pane<\/a> gives a summary of activity on shared files, including shares, recent activity, and file size\/type. If one of your collaborators has made changes that just won\u2019t work and you want to revert them, use the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/office\/restore-a-previous-version-of-a-file-stored-in-onedrive-159cad6d-d76e-4981-88ef-de6e96c93893\">version history<\/a> to restore any OneDrive file to a previous point in time (up to 30 days after being modified).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sound interesting?
